Seattle Museum Month Starts Today

February is the Month for Big Savings on Seattle’s Iconic Arts, Heritage and Cultural Scene

SEATTLE – Today marks the start of the fifth annual Seattle Museum Month. From Feb. 1-28 book a stay at any one of Seattle’s 64 participating downtown hotels and save 50 percent off admission at 40 museums.

There’s no better time than February to explore the arts, heritage and culture scene in Seattle. Whether you’re traveling to Seattle or a resident of the Pacific Northwest, by booking a room at one of the participating downtown Seattle hotels, a family of four can easily save more than $200 when visiting Seattle’s hottest cultural destinations. With so many hotels to choose from, there’s something for every budget and with 40 museums, including iconic favorites like MoPOP, Chihuly Garden and Glass or the Seattle Art Museum, and unique offerings like Seattle Pinball Museum or Living Computers: Museum + Labs, there’s something to satisfy every interest.

The Seattle region is chock-full of one-of-a-kind museums guaranteed to pique your curiosity. Head to the seafaring neighborhood of Ballard to explore the new Nordic Museum, which boasts the nation’s largest collection of artifacts from the five Nordic nations, or check out a unique piece of naval history at the USS Turner Joy Museum Ship in Bremerton. Explore the roots of the region by visiting the Suquamish Tribal Museum or explore the Seattle influence on global icon Jimi Hendrix at the Northwest African American Museum. And don’t forget to let your inner child shine through by visiting the Seattle Children’s Museum. Adding to your savings, Lyft is offering 20 percent off three rides to help you get to participating Seattle Museum Month locations including regional favorites like the eye-popping collection at LeMay: America’s Car Museum in Tacoma, the Flying Heritage and Combat Armor Museum in Everett or the Bellevue Arts Museum.

These discounts are only valid for guests staying at one of the participating hotels, up to four people, during hotel stay dates. Visitors must present an official Seattle Museum Month guest pass at participating museums to redeem the discounts.
