At the Rolling Stone Lounge, the first two episodes of the film series will debut and feature Sir Mix-A-Lot and Mary Lambert. The winning filmmaker will have a history of transforming people through rich stories – exactly what Seattle does for anyone who spends time here.

Potential filmmakers will be nominated by notable members of the film community. The winner will receive a cash award to create a film inspired by Seattle and be paired with a mentor from Film Independent to provide guidance and feedback on the script, production details and post-production. The film will debut at a September event in New York City, hosted by Rolling Stone and then be distributed through and other channels.
