Seattle Welcomes the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games

Congratulations to the more than 4,000 athletes and coaches in this momentous occasion celebrating the life-transforming power of sports and competition!

Visit Seattle is honored and thrilled to welcome the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games. It is the largest sporting event to hit the Puget Sound region in more than 25 years—and one of the most meaningful. The lasting impact of the USA Games will be the example Seattle sets for the rest of the country as a City of Inclusion—embracing and welcoming people of all backgrounds and abilities. It is an important part of the Seattle way, and a tenet of Visit Seattle’s culture and initiatives. Visit Seattle places importance on marketing the destination as a welcoming place to visit and to do business, where everyone feels inspired to be themselves no matter their race, creed, religion, heritage, intellectual or physical disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
